You might have arrived here from the Reiki page, or the yoga page, or simply by searching for something you couldn't quite name yet.

Maybe you've tried talking therapies, or energy work, or you've read all the right books. You understand yourself. You know your patterns. And yet something is still bracing. Still holding. Still reacting before your mind has caught up.

That's not a thinking problem. That's your body, still carrying what your mind has already processed.

Somatic coaching works directly with the intelligence of the body. Not analysing sensation, not building another story around it. Just noticing what is alive, what wants to move, what is ready to shift.

This is the work that happens below words. And it is different from Reiki, from yoga, from talk-based therapy, because you are not a passenger here. You are the one doing the work, with your body as the guide.

What is somatic coaching?

Somatics is the study of the body from the inside out. Not how it looks, but how it feels. How it holds. How it speaks. We begin to understand the language of the body.

In a somatic coaching session we work with sensation, movement, breath, and the patterns your nervous system has been running, often for years, without your permission. We slow down enough to hear what the body is actually saying, rather than what we've been told it means.

This isn't a modality I picked up at a weekend workshop. I trained for over a year with the Somatic Institute as a Somatic Embodiment Practitioner, and this work has been at the heart of my practice ever since.

In-person, The Reset

The Reset, your 4 week starting point:

Most lasting change doesn't happen in a single session. The Reset is a focused four-week programme that gives your nervous system its first real experience of something different.

Each session is 90 minutes. Each one builds on the last. Drawing on somatic coaching, nervous system and emotional regulation, hypnotherapy and NLP, the four weeks have a shape:

Weeks 1 and 2 - Understanding what's been running the show

We begin by mapping the four nervous system responses you've been living in: fight, flight, freeze and fawn. Not as concepts, but as felt experiences in your body.

You'll start to recognise your own patterns, when they arrive, what they feel like from the inside, and what they've been trying to do for you.

Each session includes hypnotherapy to support integration at a deeper level, and may include movement, breath, or unshaming work as your nervous system invites it.

Weeks 3 and 4 - Where you are, and where you want to go

With that foundation in place, we turn toward you. Why did you come? What is the thing underneath the thing?

These sessions look at the whole of you, what your body knows, what your mind understands, what wants to change.

We begin to build the version of you that isn't just coping, but actually living. Regulation becomes something you do naturally, not something you have to remember.

You'll leave with a body that responds differently to stress. Not just tools to manage it, but a nervous system that recognises safety more quickly, recovers more easily, and starts to become your greatest ally.

Ongoing Somatic Sessions

After The Reset, many clients choose to continue. Ongoing sessions are somatic coaching sessions - no fixed structure, no agenda imposed. We follow what is present, what your body brings, what wants to be met that day.

These sessions are for people who have done the foundational work and want to keep going. To go deeper. To stay in relationship with their own body as life continues to move and change.
