Regulated: A Self-Led Course for Fight, Flight, Freeze and Fawn

Come home to calm, and feel like you again.

You've probably heard the phrase "regulate your nervous system" by now.

Maybe someone in your life has told you that you need to. Maybe you've said it to yourself, in that vague way we say things we know matter but can't quite explain. You might picture it a bit like regulating an engine... keeping something steady, stopping it from overheating. But what does that actually mean, in real life, in your body, on a Wednesday morning?

Here's what usually isn't said.

That background hum of anxiety, the irritation that flares faster than it should, the way you go quiet and foggy in certain situations, the urge to smooth things over even when something in you is unhappy... these are not random. They are your nervous system moving through fight, flight, freeze or fawn. Every one of us lives in these states without knowing their names or recognising them as they happen.

Regulation is what happens once you can.

Once you know which state you're in, you can bring yourself back to a natural, steady calm, on purpose, instead of waiting for it to pass. And something else shifts alongside it. Your emotions stop swinging so wildly, because they're no longer being driven by a nervous system running the show without you.

There is a moment that happens for many people who do this work.

You start to recognise how fight, flight, freeze or fawn actually shows up in your body. And the knowing what to do next, with practise comes automatically, quietly, without having to think your way there.

Eventually this happens less: the tight chest, the clenched jaw, the weight sitting in your stomach, the wide-awake feeling in the middle of the night, the dread that arrives with no name and no clear reason.

Stressful things still happen, because life still happens. The difference is, they don't stay so long because you'll know what to do.

That moment is the whole point of Regulated.

You are not learning to avoid stress. You are learning to read your own nervous system, so nothing that happens inside you is a mystery anymore.

Not a list of techniques to remember. A new relationship with your own body.

By the end of these six weeks, you will understand:

• Why you can't switch off, and what your nervous system is actually doing when it won't

• Where anxiety lives in you specifically, because it's different for everyone

• How to move yourself out of fight, flight or freeze, gently, from the inside

• How to build the kind of self-trust that means your body stops scanning for danger that isn't there

• How to come back to steady, grounded calm as a daily, lived skill, not a one-off relief

This is the part that changes everything.

Once you know how your nervous system works, you can't go back to not knowing. You might ignore it sometimes. Everyone does. But it becomes a choice, not a blind spot. That shift is permanent.

Most things that help in the moment stop helping the moment they end.

A massage, a holiday, or a good night's sleep. Regulating your nervous system is different, because it isn't giving you relief. It's giving you literacy. A language for what is happening in your own body, in real time, wherever you are.

Once you have that language, you carry it everywhere.

Into the meeting that used to spike your heart rate. Into the conversation that used to leave you flooded. Into the ordinary Tuesday that used to feel, for no clear reason, like too much.

Everyone's story is different. What triggers you, how it shows up, how long it's been happening... none of that is the same from person to person. But the skill underneath is the same, and once it's yours, it's yours.

What's inside

Six weeks, self-paced, yours for life.

Week 1 - Why you can't switch off, and what your body is doing about it
Week 2 - Where anxiety lives in you (somatic mapping)
Week 3 - Deep guided regulation to gently repattern the stress loop
Week 4 - Building the self-trust that lets your nervous system stop scanning
Week 5 - Moving from survival to vitality, through movement and embodiment
Week 6 - Integration, and carrying steady calm into daily life

Six weeks is the shape of it, not the pace. Move through quickly, slowly, or however suits you.

Delivered through video, guided practices, and curated soundscapes, at your own pace, with lifetime access to return to whenever you need to.

For some of you, that might mean setting aside an afternoon and moving through the whole thing in one sitting. For others, it might mean one week a month, or returning to week three on repeat for as long as it's useful. I've deliberately left it open, so you can make it yours, interact with it however suits you, and repeat any part as often as you need.

What you actually get:

  • Six lessons, each one a walk through the landscapes that have regulated my own nervous system, and yours too now, with me as your guide, trauma-informed somatic coach, hypnotherapist, and NLP practitioner

  • A morning and evening guided meditation, yours to return to every day throughout the course and beyond

  • Four curated movement playlists, created especially for Regulated under my project, Bearfoot Ecstatic Dance

  • A complimentary copy of my book, Your Calm Compass (PDF Edition), the book that underpins everything in this course

  • Lifetime access, at your own pace, in your own body, with easy login through the Members area on my website, so it's always there whenever you want to return to it.

This is for you if:

You're not in crisis. You're functioning, capable, holding it together, and quietly tired of holding it together. You love your life but feel slightly not there in it, wired but tired, like a bit of your sparkle has gone missing and you're not entirely sure when or why. You've probably already gathered pieces of understanding, from books, from therapy, from your own reflection. That's brilliant, and it matters. However, knowing why isn't the same as knowing what to do when it happens. Regulated gives you both, the understanding and the felt, in-body skill to actually meet the moment.

"The transformation in my life from just the first session was unbelievable... by the 4th session I had learnt, practised, and practised some more the tools she shared with me. My friends and family could see a difference in me, I could feel the difference too. I'd become unstuck and suddenly had the capacity to cope with everyday life again.

I began to live, to move.

It has been nearly 3 weeks since the last session and I still use the tools in my daily life. When things get overwhelming I no longer spiral into anxiety and defeat. I now regulate my nervous system, and move through the challenges.

I really do understand now why it's called 'The Reset'. Thank you Sarah for such invaluable lessons, for showing me how to be comfortable in my own body, and for understanding me and meeting me where I'm at, always."

FAQs

What does "self-led" actually mean?

It means the course moves at your pace, not a schedule's. There are no live calls or deadlines. All six weeks are there from day one, walk through them in order, or dip into whichever week meets you where you are.

How much time will I need each week?

There's no fixed amount. Each week's video is filmed on a walk in nature, roughly 10 - 15 minutes, plus the meditations if you want them. Some weeks you might sit with a lesson longer, other weeks you'll watch once and then practise. You can come back as often as you want.

What if I fall behind?

There's no behind. This isn't a race with a finish line. Lifetime access means you can pause for a fortnight, a season, or longer, and pick back up exactly where you left off, through the Members area on my website.

What do I need to get started?

Just a device, an internet connection, and somewhere quiet enough to watch and listen. A notebook can help if you like to reflect in writing, but it's not essential.

Is this a replacement for therapy?

No. Regulated is a genuine tool for recognising and working with your nervous system day to day, but it isn't a substitute for one-to-one therapeutic support. If you're in crisis or working through significant trauma, please seek the support of a qualified professional alongside, or instead of, this course.

How will I know it's working?

There's usually a moment, a tight chest before a meeting, a flash of irritation, a familiar wired feeling, and instead of being swept into it, you notice something feels different first. That noticing is the work. A softening in the body arrives quietly, in its own time, and it's different for everyone.

I also want to say, I do not have a magic wand tucked in with the lessons and meditations. This works the way any practice does, through actually doing it. Watching the videos provides the knowledge and understanding. Doing the exercises is where the change happens.

Is my payment secure, and can I get a refund?

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. As this is instant digital access to streaming content, Regulated is non-refundable once purchased, in line with the Terms & Conditions.

“I’d tried many forms of therapy. Nothing lasted. Sarah’s work gave me back my power and the ability to bring myself to calm whenever I choose.”
